Fairyhouse Racecourse
From humble beginnings in 1848, Fairyhouse has quickly become one of Ireland’s premier racecourses and has been home to the Irish Grand National since 1870.
Fairyhouse attracts leading horses both on the flat and over jumps and the legends that have graced it’s course include some of the finest horses ever seen – Arkle, Desert Orchid, Flying Bolt, Captain Christy, Prince Regent, Persian War, L’escargot and more recently Istabraq, Bobbyjo, Florida Pearl and Limestone Lad.

Long History
Fairyhouse held it’s first race in 1848. In 1870, the first Irish Grand National steeplechase was held there.
