Thirsk Racecourse
Thirsk is one of Yorkshire’s most beautiful country courses, sitting between the North Yorkshire Moors and the Dales with easy access by road, rail or air. Flat racing takes place from April to September, and with excellent facilities and a friendly atmosphere, Thirsk offers country racing at its best.
In 2005, Thirsk Racecourse proudly celebrated 150 years of racing on the course at Station Road in Thirsk. Racing at Thirsk has been continuous apart from periods around the two World Wars. Thirsk is – more then ever – a good choice for a day out at the races, with high quality racing, good facilities (which are constantly improved) and attractive surroundings.
