Men are still required to wear traditional morning suits in the Royal enclosure and in the private boxes, even turning up with the wrong coloured top hat is seen as a faux pas and may lead to you being refused admission!

Ascot holds an impressive array of group one races during the year, notably the Queen Mary Stakes, King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes, the Ladbroke Handicap Hurdle, the Ascot Hurdle and the Victor Chandler Chase. Ascot holds both flat and National Hunt races. Ascot boasts impressive facilities having recently spent £200 million on redeveloping the course and grand stand.

Ascot Racecourse is located in the village of Ascot, Berkshire approximately six miles from Windor Castle. Ascot is owned by the Crown Estates, which basically means the Queen owns it!
